Eric has worked in a wide range of computer-related areas for over 30 years, giving him a thorough understanding of the consent change and need to stay current. Previously as Information Security Officer with the College of Engineering, he promoted security awareness with education and training for College faculty, staff, and students and now mentors high school students in the CyberPatriot program.
Evangelical in his continuing education efforts for information security, Eric is always on the lookout for new education resources.
Eric holds a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from The University of Arizona, Eller College of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Technology Management from Northern Arizona University. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), certified in ITIL, and holds a Certificate in College Teaching. Earlier a US Army Combat Engineer, he served in support of Operation Desert Storm.

Dr. John DeLalla has been an educator with The University of Arizona for more than 15 years, including more than a decade as a faculty member and Program Director for Network Administration degree program, with concurrent service as Director of Continuing Education, overseeing a program offering IT certification training and professional development. Prior to joining the UA, John worked in the IT field and help launch a Silicon Valley dot com, along with working for The Walt Disney Company and touring (in a marketing role) with the Goo Goo Dolls. Away from campus John is building a riding railroad and is active in community affairs.
David Hernandez is a member of the leadership team for the Arizona Cyber Warfare Range where he conducts real world hands-on cybersecrutiy workshops for people of all ages. He is also the Arizona Grant Project Coordinator for NICE, the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education, and RAMPS, the Regional Alliances and Multistakeholder Partnerships Stimulate where organizes K-12 cybersecurity workshops and brings unity between the cybersecurity community.

Dr. Haass is professor and department chair of the Cyber Intelligence and Security degree program at the nation’s first College of Security and Intelligence at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona. He is author and presenter of more than 30 articles in a variety of subject areas including Cyber Threat Intelligence Sharing. Dr. Haass serves as advisory board member for the Arizona Cyber Threat Response Alliance (ACTRA), a regional information sharing and analysis organization that includes companies in 14 of the critical infrastructure sectors. His areas of research interest include the security issues associated with connected cyber-physical systems that encompass aircraft, cars, industrial controls and much more. This Internet of Things (IoT) is likely to open an even larger portion of societies systems to cyber based attacks.
Previously Dr. Haass held executive and management positions at Sun Microsystems, OpenTV and SendMail where he was responsible for projects ranging from moving map displays and GPS to digital television and prevention of email borne malware. He serves as a Cyber Security expert for corporate boards and anticipates the need for representation on boards for every publicly traded company. He is a speaker to local and national audiences bringing complex ideas into clear focus. He received his PhD from MIT where he also served after graduation as a CLE Moore Instructor. A native of Wyoming he continues to work with companies and agencies on both coasts as well as the rocky mountain region. His passion is to educate the next generation of cyber security professionals inspiring integrity, curiosity and shared leadership.
